Course overview
Develop skills to carry out or assist with workplace risk assessments in mining, drilling and civil infrastructure, including identifying risks, recommending controls and reviewing risk management records.
Who is this course for?
For people working or seeking operational work in civil infrastructure, coal mining, construction, drilling, extractive industries and metalliferous mining.

Entry requirements
No formal prerequisites are listed. CTS requires learners to be at least 18 years old.
Assessment
Assessment uses workplace observation or role-play/simulation, with questioning that may include self-assessment, verbal responses, written questionnaires, activity modules or interviews.

Equipment, PPE and practical access
Computer/laptop with relevant software such as, but not limited to, the following
internet access preferably through Google Chrome; MS Word and PowerPoint; Adobe Acrobat Reader

Recognition of Prior Learning
RPL is not applicable to this unit.
